Ness United compete in the Shetland Football Association Premier league and reserve league.

We also field teams in the Shetland Junior
Football Association league's with teams from under 8's through to under 18's.

The teams play their home games from three pitches in the south mainland, Boddam Sports field, Sandwick football pitch, and Cunningsburgh football pitch.

Ness United football club aims to offer football to all sections of the community in the south mainland of Shetland. Training is open to anyone wishing to attend times and venues are posted on the club news section. If you are not interested in playing or coaching then there are many opportunities in the admin side of the club such as fundraising, player welfare, and public relations tasks such as updating the website and raising the club profile both within Shetland and nationally.

In 2008 Ness United signed up to complete the SFA quality mark club scheme. The club is currently working towards the standard acreditation. Through the scheme and assistance available from the SFA the club will build on the skills and experience of the coaches and players, and therefore look to improve the playing and coaching opportunities for all the players and volunteers at Ness United.
